Who Are We?

Over seventy thousand men worldwide – and well over four thousand men in the UK & Ireland - have attended a ManKind Project (MKP) New Warrior Training Adventure Weekend.
The ManKind Project UK & Ireland is part of The ManKind Project International Circle, which originated in the USA in 1984, the UK in 1994 and has now spread into 10 further Regions of the world (with 6 more bubbling under).  All regions of the ManKind Project are not-for-profit/charity/trust’s and MKP UK & Ireland is a UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The fees that you have paid for attending the weekend and those of the staff, fund MKP activities. Our accounts are transparent and open to inspection at Charities House

There is a Board of Trustees and a system of Action Circles that look after the organisational side of MKP UK & Ireland and you will be welcome to join any of these in the future.

Our Values are:

  • Accountability

  • Authenticity

  • Compassion

  • Generosity

  • Integrity

  • Multicultural Inclusivity

  • Respect

Everyone involved in MKP is expected to abide by the MKP Ethical Relationships Policy

To access more information about MKP in the UK & Ireland CONTACT

You are also welcome to browse the rest of these Community Pages with local resources which are hidden from public view

You will shortly be sent details of how to log into MKP Connect - this is the main website (hosted by MKP-USA) that lists the majority of NWTA’s worldwide and details of how to apply to staff those HERE If you are experiencing details with logging in then please CONTACT

Once you are logged in to MKP Connect you will then find your details on your profile page in and in the top right under the heading 'Your Initiation' you will see listed YOUR NWTA: if you then click on that link it will take you through to a page dedicated to that training where all Participants, Staff or MOS are listed individually - by clicking on individuals you will then be able to access their contact details (unless they have deliberately chosen not to share them).

MKP Connect also has many other resources that include a UK&I HOME PAGE that shows the many UK&I specialised E-Mail Groups you are welcome to apply to join together with links to social-media.

What Now?

PITs: Many men find their New Warrior Training Adventure Weekend a life-changing event. You are all invited to join a Primary Integration Training (PIT) free of charge.

For many men this can be as powerful an experience as the NWTA. The PIT will help you develop the emotional skills that you have already acquired and will help you integrate your discoveries into everyday life: details of these will have been sent to you already.

I-Groups: Once you have completed the Integration Training, you can join one of the ongoing Integration Groups (typically referred to as I-Groups).  An I-Group is a group of men who meet regularly to work together to address what is going on in their lives, to be accountable for their actions and to support one another.  You will be given more information when you attend the Primary Integration Training. Information about ongoing I-Groups can also be found on the MKP UK & Ireland web site mentioned above. Some I-Groups will allow men to join before they have completed their PIT and it is also possible to join a group and then complete a PIT together with the members of that group in-person over a weekend. All details of existing I-Groups are shown in MKP Connect - enter UK and Ireland in the Area Search Box.

Staff a NWTA: You may wish to staff elsewhere, and you will be welcome to do so in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Nordic, Israel as well as here in the UK and Ireland. Should you wish to, there will also be opportunities to meet and connect with other warriors and to provide acts of service to your local community. These are all listed HERE

Getting Involved

Each year MKP UK & Ireland runs five  or more New Warrior Training Adventure weekends (there are 9 in 2023-2024!)

Some men are drawn to staffing an NWTA.  Places are always set aside for first time staffers.  Men often find the experience of staffing as profound as, or even more powerful than, their initial Weekend experience. Staffing an NWTA is a chance to work with other men in building a safe container for the new trainees, and to gain insight into how the weekends are put together.

There are also a number of trainings designed to enhance and build on your first weekend.  The ManKind Project puts on a range of courses including a Staff and Leadership Training courses (at a number of levels), as well as other opportunities to get involved in the MKP community

You could also consider getting involved with one of our regular Online Connection Groups and volunteering on those as a staff-man for more information on these please contact mensgroups@mankindprojectuki.org

Your involvement is very welcome.

Receiving and Giving Support

Part of being a mature man is being able to ask for help or support from other men.  Another part is being able to offer it.  If you need support or help then ask.  There is a community of men willing to offer both support and contact.  If you are able to offer help, please do so. There is also always a need for help with all aspects of making the weekends take place. Make contact with the Training Manager to get involved.

Other Resources

You already have your New Brothers email list.  This is a space just for the men who completed this weekend and is there for you to support and encourage each other. In addition, you will also be subscribed to “mkpuki-announcements” which carries all official announcements from MKP UK & Ireland together with weekly round-ups of community activities. There are other smaller email forums and groups hosted by MKP UK & Ireland which you are also welcome to join – you can see some of these on our website or in MKP Connect.

Stepping Up

If you feel you can offer to help to do one of the many jobs which go on behind the scenes, let us know.  You will receive mentoring from men who’ve done the tasks before, support from other Warriors and the knowledge you are helping to make the world a safer place for our children.

There are always a variety of tasks that need more hands to bring them to fulfilment.  Take a healthy risk by putting yourself forward – better for you to dare to do that, than to just watch other men from the sidelines.

And there’s always room for new ideas and new initiatives.  So do it. The need is always there!

A Closing Note

Each man within MKP is appreciated for his unique contributions as a man. The only thing that is expected of you when participating in The ManKind Project is to be authentic; to be openly yourself. Whatever your future involvement with The ManKind Project may be, know that you are welcome. If you have any further questions, contact MKP UK & Ireland using the details below.
