Barnaby Reason - Treasurer

A father, to three wonderful people, and husband to Edwina, my partner on this journey for nearly 34 years. Much of my experience of how to “do life” has come from my family, negotiations, conflict resolutions, celebrating successes, integrity, responsibility, dogged determination, making things happen etc. were all better understood by me, in the midst of not only trying to be me, but also in the witnessing of these people that I have closely shared my life with for many years. I have been on a wild adventure getting to know myself and exploring inner realms for over half my life, and have also helped many others do so too.

My working career has been varied with many years of trading financial products, where I have enjoyed being part of many successful (and some not so!) organizations, many of which I founded. I have also more recently spent the last four years abroad, in service to a non-profit organisation where I was the Manager of a meditation ashram.

I have been on the boards, leadership groups, councils of many different companies and groups, and I think I have a great deal to offer.

I did my New Warrior Training Adventure in October 1993 on the recommendation of a man I trusted, he said “don’t think about it too much, just do it”, sage advice indeed.

On the Sunday sitting under the canopy of trees being shaded from the Texan sun, I saw something that really stunned me, men working together, loving each other, and getting so much done, I saw a community of extraordinary men, a wondrous idea that was somehow very real in this place. I made a pledge sitting there that day, that I would do whatever I could to help build a community like the one that I saw that day, back here in the UK.

A little over a year later the first New Warrior Training Adventure was held in the UK, a while later I, along with John Kurk, were the first certified co-leaders outside of the USA.

I love the work that we do, not just for the positive impact it has on so many people, or the missions of service that men undertake as a result of being empowered by doing our work, all of which are inspiring and beautiful to witness. What really gets me is the love and friendships that are truly obtainable for me now, the lack of deep connection and my separation from the rest of the world, was my work on my weekend, it spawned my mission which has never changed

As a man amongst men, I help souls fly, by reaching out to all men
