What is a Connection Group?
A Connection Group is an introductory men’s group.
There are usually around 8 to 10 men on each call.
They run on Zoom and follow a simple format of checking-in and deeper sharing.
The groups are relaxed but safe spaces for men to talk.
You are welcome to join no matter who you are or where you’re from.
We are proud to welcome men of all faiths, ages, sexual orientation and ethnicities.
At each Connection Group you will find a group of men who are willing to listen to other men speak openly and honestly in a confidential space.
What will I learn in a Connection Group?
We don't 'teach' anything in Connection Groups.
However we do have values that underline everything we do at The ManKind Project. You can find out more about these here.
These values are what we try to encourage during the groups, and what we offer when men connect with MKP and our trainings.
What will I get from attending Connection Groups?
The feedback we get from men is almost universally positive. For some, it is just connection they are seeking. For others, the groups can be life changing.
Here are some of the benefits experienced by those who attend:
A sense of connection with others
A feeling of being less alone
A place to be totally honest about how they are feeling, often for the first time
The liberation of being able to share even their inner-most thoughts
A way to discover what they are feeling, as most of the time we don’t even know
A place to explore our life purpose and direction
A feeling that they are taking responsibility, a sense of empowerment over their lives
Friendship, community and support
