Pennsylvanian by birth, Californian by chance, English by choice. These are the thirds of my life to date. 5 terrific daughters in 5 years including 5 expat treks back and forth across the Atlantic. A dual citizen, bi-coastal American with boomer and British sensibilities. 

I’ve had an unexpected international life, marked by unexpected privilege. As a mother of daughters, I support gender equity.. As an older woman, I am concerned about societal discounting of the value of age.  Demography is destiny and ignoring the accumulated talents, skills and wisdom of longer living humans is as shortsighted as ignoring the contributions of the digital natives and pioneers who have only experienced life in the internet age. We need both.. Working together for the common good, where life and work are aligned with purpose, is a worthwhile goal. To that end, I co-founded The Purpose Xchange  exactly one year ago in October 2021.

What can I bring to MKP, the team and the ideal?

I was introduced to the MKP in 2016  when I was invited to attest the vote to assume charity status. It was contentious but voted in with a strong mandate and I have been peripherally attached ever since. One of my first observations was that the MKP helps men to stop being afraid. I want that to continue. Having women as trustees is important. I hope to help the MKP continue to make a difference for men that will in turn, improve everything.

As for me, writing is like breathing. Swimming is my meditation and I am an ageing aficionado.
